Volunteers needed to interview Penn applicants
The Secondary School Committee of Penn Admissions needs your help!
Dear Boston Penn Alums,
Have you ever wanted to meet the people applying to Penn? Have you ever wanted to help Penn out in a fun and meaningful way? If so, please join the Secondary School Committee of Penn Admissions! We're the folks who interview the undergraduate applicants. November is almost here, and that means the applications are rolling in down in Philly. We love to give every applicant the chance to meet with a member of the Penn alumni, and volunteers make that happen.
Volunteering to help the SSC involves just a little bit of your time. You can interview early decision applicants in November or regular decision candidates in January or February. Interviews are typically an hour, in a public place, and you just have to write up a brief synopsis of your interview to send to the Admissions Office. Some folks interview just a single candidate per year, while others offer to interview many more. We're flexible to your schedule and interests.
If you have any questions, or to join the SSC, please contact me, Chris Wallgren, SSC Chair for Boston, Cambridge, and surrounding communities. There are other committees for further-out suburbs that he can also arrange for you to join. I'll chat with you briefly about the responsibilities of conducting the interviews, and we'll get you set up with the Admissions Office in terms of introductory materials.
Thank you very much!
Sincerely,
Chris Wallgren
