The
Penn Club has helped at the Greater Boston Food Bank many times over
the past few years. Volunteers will be inspecting, sorting, and
repacking donated food and grocery products at the food bank's
warehouse.
All
volunteers will meet at the food bank at 12:45PM. Upon arrival, walk
through the front door and someone at the food bank can direct you to
the room where training will be held before we get started.
The
Greater Boston Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization in
New England, and among the largest food banks in the country. Last year,
the Greater Boston Food Bank distributed more than 51 million pounds of
food, enough to provide healthy meals to as many as 545,000 people.
